Youth Afterschool Volleyball Club

Middle School Only!

A middle school age youth volleyball afterschool program provided by IVGID to allow for interested volleyball players to gain experience and knowledge in the sport.  The program will provide valuable gym time and instruction to help youth develop their skills.  Tuesday will be skills days and organized matches will be held on Thursdays.  Instructor is middle school coach Tony Graeber

Kinder Sports Clinic

Ages 5-7

This is a great introductory sports course for those little ones who love to be active.  Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of sports and popular playground games. The class is organized with fun drills, games and activities geared for preschool/kindergarten aged youth.  Positive social interaction and fun are emphasized.

Girl's Softabll League

Grades 2nd-9th

The league is open to girls of all abilities from 2nd -9th grades. Fee includes jersey and team photo. Register online or call (775) 832-1310 for more information.  Girls must supply their own softball or baseball glove.  Some games will be held at various sites in Truckee and Tahoe City and at the North Tahoe Regional Park.  Youth softball teams will have 2-3 games per week once the season starts.

Youth Basketball League

Grades: 2nd - 9th
 
This popular Incline Village/North Lake Tahoe/Truckee basketball program is open to players of all abilities in the 2nd - 9th grades. Players will learn and develop fundamentals of the game, rules and teamwork and sportsmanship; winning is de-emphasized. Teams are coached by community volunteers. There are coed leagues for 2nd - 4th graders, boys leagues for 5th - 6th, and 7 - 8th graders and girls leagues for 5th - 6th and 7th - 9th graders. Each participant will receive a team t-shirt and photo. A skills day will be held depending on the number of players registered for each specific age group.

WANTED: Volunteer Coaches & Sports Instructors!

We need coaches to serve as head coaches and assistant coaches for the upcoming youth leagues. The department provides training for all coaches and depends on volunteers to provide the leadership and guidance for our youth teams. Please consider registering as a coach by calling the Sports Office at (775)  832-1322. Fingerprinting will be required.
